What should you do when there is a red flag warning or weather watch?
  1. Be ready to go at a moment’s notice.
  2. Put your go bag by the door or in your car.
  3. Make sure your gas tank is at least half full.
  4. Remove flammable items from porch and deck (cushions, bbq's, anything that can burn)
  5. Listen to the radio, keep informed (Watch Duty App, Nevada County dashboard, CAL FIRE app)

You don’t have to wait for an evacuation warning because when fires start under this type of weather, they start and move very fast. That should give you a little peace of mind, knowing you are ready to go at a moment's notice!
